Turbocharger Solutions

Turbocharger Solutions

Over the years, we have been lucky to be able to provide thousands of Turbocharger Solutions to customers.
After so many interactions with clients, re-occurring themes start to emerge. These themes centre around turbocharger problems specific to makes, models and manufacture year.

Below is a list of pages we have created to help answer some of the most common, re-occurring issues that we see on a regular basis.
Most pages also provide a solution to the issue. Some issues require little to fix or prevent occurring in the first place.
Others require additions of peripheral systems to enhance the standard operating environment. Some unfortunately, cannot be fixed and required turbocharger replacement.

Here is an issue we commonly see with the 2005-2007 3.0L 1KD-FTV where Injector Seal can cause Turbocharger Problems.

Another problem we hear of (again in the 1KD-FTV 3.0L engine), is the Turbocharger Actuator Stepper Motor Problem.
We have a solution that can save you a lot of money.

In addition to the above, we have an article that has information on Turbocharger Electronic Actuator Stepper Motors in general.

Customers have to replace their 2.3L petrol Mazda CX7 Turbochargers earlier than just about all the turbos we stock. There is a common reason for this and we provide some tips on preventative maintenance in our article: Mazda CX7 Turbo Problems and Solutions. It can save you a lot of time and money.

We are fans of solid, good-value vehicles that have a bit of flair. The Ford Falcon XR6 rates consistently high in this regard. There are plenty of XR6 Turbos for sale in the second-hand market, and they are great value for money. There are a few things to check for if you own, or are looking for a Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo for Sale?.

Nissan Patrols are a very common vehicle here in Australia, but the Nissan Patrol Turbocharged RD28 2.8L is a bit gutless. Find out why here.

Likewise the 3.0L ZD30 Patrol could have more power, and it suffers from a Turbocharger over-boosting issue. If you want to know how to fix this, see our solutions, and more on our page about Nissan Patrol ZD30 GU Garrett Turbocharger Problems.

Similar to the Mazda CX 7, the pre-2013 Hyundai iLoad 2.5L diesel Turbocharger, is often swapped-out due to premature, excessive wear.
You can find out more here:Hyundai iLoad Turbocharger Problems & Solutions. Prevention is better than cure in this case!.

The LandCruiser 200 Series. It’s a very popular choice for towing boats and caravans and for off-road, rural use because of its reliability. But 1 turbo bank is twice as likely to fail.
We cover this issue and more, and provide some tips on IHI Turbo Problems and Solutions.

There are many more pages of Turbocharger Solutions, so please browse through the list on the website’s main menu.
