No physical symptom from Turbo? (i.e. not worn, leaking oil, squealing etc), but vehicle in limp mode?
It MAY be just a faulty Stepper motor only.
It is recommended to have the vehicle scanned for a Stepper / Actuator fault code.
Why replace the entire turbo if all you need is to replace the stepper?

Looks like this is the only palce where you can find one of these electric actuators for the 2.8L Hilux, Toyota don’t sell them. They want you to buy the whole unit at an atrronomical cost, so this was a real $ saver!
